Topics covered
This course introduces you to the world of Floral Design, starting from the basics, with information and knowledge about the sector, composition techniques, the skills needed to start a floral business, and the materials and tools to use.
We continue with the creation of a round centerpiece to begin to understand the compositional elements, proportions, and positioning of each element, and to learn the first notions about the use of colors and the choice of materials.
The technique for creating semicircular and diagonal compositions is then addressed: an in-depth look at the techniques needed to create stylistic lines and the focal point.
Afterwards, we continue the classic path starting from the Hogarth line or line of beauty to learn the techniques for giving movement and momentum to the decorations without manipulating the floral element.
Below is a modern interpretation of the Hogarth line to create small or large displays with a wow effect.
The Classical Style course concludes with the study and learning of the compositional techniques that best represent this style: the triangle. We will create a triangle through a review of the techniques needed to create stylistic lines, refine the appearance of the focal point, and see how to maintain the lines and compositional scheme on medium to large scale drawings.
