Orange flowers for an autumn wedding

Orange flowers for a wedding are among the ideal choices for autumn.

We tend to think of autumn as a season of transition, when the days get shorter and the sun is a bit lacking, and therefore a season characterized by a veiled melancholy.

But if we stop to observe the nature around us, we will discover that this season offers us incredible natural spectacles, warm and enveloping colors capable of giving life to a spectacle of unimaginable hues: reds, oranges, and yellows, as well as all the shades of green and brown.

Thanks to its warm and evocative colours, its days with crisp air and its many references to nature, autumn is therefore a wonderful season for organising a wedding full of ideas for inspiration.

Among the flowers for an autumn wedding the orange ones are the masters: we go from roses in all their different shades, symbol of femininity and seduction, to mini calle (imported) which can be found in a mix of lighter and darker tones for a stunning and very elegant effect, up to tulips, available in orange, but also in red and yellow.

And then there are dried physalis flowers, varieties of curcubita, euphorbia, and even the strelitzia, although a little underrated, but extremely refined when combined with purple elements or metallic materials for a wedding with more modern lines.

And what about the sunflower? The sunflower is surprising; we imagine it only in summer, but it can also be found in autumn. Its appearance immediately suggests a very rustic context, but if used in an unusual way, for example using only the central part and not the yellow petals, combined with simple leaves, it can create surprising scenic effects.

Another orange flower for an autumn wedding This dahlia blooms from July to October, until the first frost. A flower brimming with elegance, its buds are worth showcasing, too, as randomly placed, they lend a natural, vibrant feel to the arrangement. The only rule: the buds must stand out! In a bouquet, dahlias lend a decidedly retro allure, while the less common purple-eggplant color lends a more modern touch.

But a fall wedding isn't all about orange flowers. It wouldn't make sense, for example, not to include hydrangeas, whose wispy, soft appearance makes them incredibly dramatic and lends any setting a grace and refinement worthy of a painting. In the fall version, they come in a variety of shades of green, sometimes even with touches of orange and burgundy.

They can be used alone, if very large, or in clusters if smaller in size, together with twisted hazelnut branches for a more natural style with a rustic-chic taste, or combined with bud willow and roses, for a more elegant and refined autumn wedding.

And since it's autumn, it's worth looking around and using all the natural elements we can think of, such as bark, branches, small decorative vegetables, and all the berries available in nature, such as coral rose berries.

And let's not forget lavender. Early autumn is an ideal time for pruning. This seemingly cold flower, when paired properly, can create truly unique arrangements. For example, if we're thinking of an autumnal country wedding, lavender arrangements in baskets, fruit crates, or slightly retro-vintage vases add a touch of charm. Just be careful with centerpieces; the scent of these flowers could be off-putting!

In any case, the general suggestion for autumn is to choose warm colours such as orange, yellow and red, combining them with even very small hints of metallic tones like gold, copper and bronze, for a more modern effect instead play with the brightness of the surfaces and using containers with clean, minimal and mirrored lines.
