What's better than being able to create original and unique objects, accessories, and furnishings for every occasion with your own hands?
It is not always necessary to buy new and innovative material, we can often recycle objects that we have at home and combine them with fresh flowers that we took either in a garden or purchased in a nursery. You'll see what a result! Today I'll make a ethnic-fusion centerpiece , linear and elegant!
Let's start by collecting the material we will need to create our own centerpiece. Some scrap of fabric in a slightly oriental style, sponge, a polystyrene shape (cubic, cylindrical... whatever you like or have!), a glass jar, decorative pins, scissors, shears, white lisianthus, white carnations, hazelnut branches, aspidistra leaves and a few berries.
Now that we have everything we need, let's start cutting the tissue tailored to cover the polystyrene form.
We wrap the fabric around the Styrofoam, leaving one flat side free. After stretching the fabric, we secure it with decorative pins.
We take the sponge that we previously wet and insert it into the glass jar that we will place on the polystyrene. We cut the stem of the jar diagonally.'aspidistra We roll the leaf onto itself, creating a small loop that will accommodate the leaf stem. Now we pin it to the sponge and repeat the process twice: the first time I place the leaf on the right of the composition, the second time on the left. Always playing with depth: we try to create the whole thing on multiple levels.
Let's add to the composition the carnations: they should be positioned quite close to each other creating the right "in-out" movement. Once this is done, we complete with a little light that we will obtain with the lisianthus flowers: white creates the right contrast and the perfect balance!
Finally, let's cut some berries and let's insert them into the composition and to give a little movement and lightness we complete with the hazelnut branch which we will insert in the center of the composition.
Now everything is perfect!
