Boho chic, the triumph of nature and DIY, here is a tutorial for making a very simple bouquet!
The flowers we need can easily be picked from a field or garden. Unfortunately, I don't have that luck, living in the city. However, always keeping in mind the concept of eco-sustainability, I used the flowers I had left over from an event I organized recently. So, let's get started!
The materials we need are: scissors, gutta-percha shears, lace ribbon, satin ribbon, and of course any flowers you already have at home or have carefully picked. The important thing is that they have bright colors and different shapes and sizes. For example, I mixed peonies, bellflowers, delphiniums, lady's mantle, small roses, veronica, and light greens.
Let's start by arranging the flowers side by side on our work table so that it's easy to choose the various combinations.
Let's take two peonies and join them by crossing the stems, choose which will be the peony/central axis of your bouquet and using the same procedure add the other flowers.
Be careful to distribute the various types of flowers in a balanced way, to let the lighter elements stand out and to check the harmony of the shape as you add elements.
Let's complete the bouquet adding the longest flowers on one side only in a gradual cascade.
And now we cut the stems to size.
We take the gutta-percha and fix the bouquet to keep it secure. We'll wrap it several times to be sure. You can also easily close it with raffia.
We hide the gutta-percha with the satin ribbon and secure it with a knot, then we create a bow with the lace ribbon. (Honestly, this is a very basic version, with the boho chic you can have a little more fun, do it!)
Once the closure is done, we further refine the stems.
