And here we are, back from the first very intense, very wonderful, very frenetic day of My country wedding.
We survived…that's a fair word! And now I'll tell you why!
Everything started off great, everything was prepared down to the smallest detail (thanks Anna Iannone!!!) , at each station we placed an inspiration box full of gifts and thoughts dedicated to the participants by our partners (mentioned below and to whom I will dedicate a new page of this logbook) accompanied by the work apron by silviadeifiori. Now all that's missing is them: the girls!
It was an ambitious project to say the least, but we were able to realize it thanks to the invaluable help of Laura Bartolini, who manages the location, and her husband Andrea.
We thought of creating five different sets spread throughout the Olmo Estate, from the open field to the magical reed bed, let's say that keeping up with them wasn't easy but Laura and Andrea, always with a smile, helped us with everything... I haven't met many people like them... thank you so much.
We worked tirelessly in a fierce north wind that blew all day, never giving us a moment's respite. But Anna, Laura, and all the other fantastic girls who are living this experience didn't give up for a second.
The pace was very tight, marked by my voice handing out small missions and timelines to all the teams of girls who, with a smile, said: “Silvia, it feels like we're on Master Chef... a race against time!”, but the desire to see what we had talked about come to fruition was strong.
Each team dedicated itself to its project with passion, some to civil ceremony in the reeds, who at Tableau who at the tables or at the corner wedding cake, while I ran up and down between fields, reeds and meadows in this paradise that is Tenuta dell'Olmo.
The aim was to have special photo shots and at the same time take a walk through the creativity and inspirations of the installations in country style for next season.
In the morning she tried, and we earned a hot meal...and what a meal! Laura enlisted someone truly special for us: "Gemma," who with her nimble and capable hands makes fresh gnocchi for all of us...one detail: Gemma is 90 years old! What an honor and what a fortune! Thank you so much again!
In the early afternoon we set off again. A freezing north wind was blowing through the reeds, so much so that, for a moment, I feared I'd have to abandon the ceremony plan: "It's not possible!" I repeated to myself. I told the girls to all come to the reeds with the dahlias and lisianthuses, the fabrics, and the ribbons. Armed with a ladder (luckily held firmly by the girls!!), I began to arrange the flowers, asking the girls for confirmation and directions: "Yes, that's fine... no, more to the right, here, now down to the left..." Meanwhile, increasingly chilled, every time I climbed down the ladder I hoped it would go well and that it would be the last one. All the girls helped each other to finish the nave of this natural cathedral, thus contributing to the success of the project. What energy, what passion.
Okay… time was running out and the north wind was relentless 50 km away, we still had a lot to do… so let's get to the details, we had to take the photos and then get down to business!
“Come on, girls, time is running out, the sun is setting…we have two hours to finish everything…we have an hour…we have half an hour….!”
No one stood still, no one spared themselves.
But I stopped for a moment to observe what was happening, I smile: I'm recording what's happening around me, the overwhelming energy that we managed to generate all together is phenomenal... what a joy!
I record everything in my mind and in my heart, I don't want to forget this moment!”
We made it… every corner is filled, now let's have some fun and take our photos for tomorrow's web marketing immersion!
The day ended with a lovely dinner all together: Anna and I drank a bottle of red wine, we were exhausted, but happy...now also a little tipsy!
Laura gave us some neon bracelets… she wants a photo… Carlotta invites us to join our wrists and snaps a photo… but during the shot I can hear my voice “Wait! There’s too much pink here…” As I say this I realize I’m “terrible” and in fact, a nice, round, healthy laugh follows from all of us!
