THE CREATIVE PUCI by Anna Morandi

The world of creativity never stops telling its story, with new stories always waiting to be told. That's why even the brightest month of the year graces us with a new creative character.

We're talking about Anna, a passionate, tenacious, curious woman with a strong sense of self and an extraordinary, moving depth. Meeting her during one of the natural decoration workshops she meticulously organizes throughout the year was inspiring by her positive mindset and infectious enthusiasm for promoting the elegance of simplicity. She thrives on constant transformation because she loves experimenting, starting with an idea and then shaping a form, freely following her immeasurable creative flair, and using her hands as a branch of the heart to create spells, sensual potions that bewitch you.

Her creations bear the signature Le Pùcie, a nickname embodying a "historical memory"—that's how all the women in the family are nicknamed, a tradition that has been perpetuated from generation to generation. Every time she strolls through her beloved countryside, tirelessly searching for materials for her creations, she is always able to see the miracle and beauty of nature, absorbing all its regenerating virtues.

Moreover, by her own admission, as we'll see in the interview, her creativity is deeply nourished by an almost meditative observation of the natural world. So, all that's left is to discover together Anna's answers on the topic of creativity.

How did your creative journey begin, and how does it influence your lifestyle? I don't think it's possible to pinpoint an exact moment when it all began: I think creativity is inherent in each of us, we just express it as we see fit. I discovered early on that it's my manifesto of freedom; something I had and have a visceral need for, and, just as quickly, I found various strategies to let it flow. I have reason to believe that the sensitivity and vision that guide me are a precious legacy: my mother's uncle was a creative artist and painter, and my mother studied art and paints with virtuoso mastery, possessing a beautiful brushstroke.

I like to think so, and perhaps that's why today I experience creativity as a continuous thread intertwined with my life. I attended art school, and from a young age, I realized that this would be the right path for personal fulfillment. Painting, for me, was like air, it was silence when everything else was making noise, it was concentration and fulfillment. Then, life diverted me elsewhere. I had to dedicate myself to something else, but I don't regret it. However, creativity has always been my faithful and inseparable companion, whatever direction I've taken. It has never abandoned me, continuing to live within me, in a thousand contexts and in a thousand forms. And, suddenly, one day, the flowers arrived.

Thanks to them, my passion for painting was reawakened and, in all honesty, I also rediscovered myself.

Perhaps the time had come to find myself in a new guise: different hands, different experiences, but with the same desire to express myself and feel free. I understood that creativity also comes from there: from listening, from paying attention, from knowing how to observe and let it flow, without resistance, but with the wonder of saying, "Let's try it out.".

Where do you best express your creative side and why?

I don't think I have a place or time where I can express myself best. Sometimes, the best results come from the most unexpected or even diametrically opposed situations. I simply try to always maintain an open mind.

To be creative you have to be…?

Free. Without placing boundaries or limits. You have to let yourself be carried away, carried without resistance, flow. And then, above all, you have to fall in love. To this day, I fall in love every day. Perhaps this is the secret of the creative vitality I try to unleash, along with a poetic touch and the grace of spontaneity, in my decorations.

How does the floral world inspire your creations? Truth be told, more than the floral world, it's the natural world that inspires me. Its myriad nuances, the constant discoveries I make while walking or picking something. Everything can become inspiration: a color, a shape, a scent. Even a bush, which at first glance seems unadorned and devoid of aesthetic grace, conceals a perfect world: every twig has its own intrinsic value. And the roadside, if you stop for a moment and really observe, is full of small treasures. Nature speaks to me, I listen to it, and from there, what I create is born.

What emotions would you like to convey with your work?

I'd like to sum it up in a single, powerful and universal word: love. It's precisely here that, for me, lies respect, gratitude, and the constant wonder of understanding that beauty isn't something to be sought who knows where: it's already all around us. All we need to do is slow down, look at ourselves, and gaze upon our own path. How many little worlds we trample upon without even realizing it: leaves with perfect outlines, flowers that make their way where you least expect them. Nature invites me every day to stop, observe, accept change, and enjoy its details, even the most seemingly imperceptible ones. I don't invent: I faithfully reproduce what the natural world reveals to me. It is the world that guides me and continually surprises me. And when I compose, I feel like I'm painting again: only instead of brushes, I use dry, twisted branches and a harmonious alternation of fresh and dried flowers. I move as I would before a canvas, letting myself be inspired by the shapes and colors. Ultimately, what I'd like to convey is precisely this: the authentic and profound wonder that nature bestows on me every day. I hope to achieve this, but always by following the rhythm of my emotions.

Before we say goodbye and meet again, if you wish, in 2026, with the same desire to amaze and stories to tell, we express our profound admiration for Anna's creative mastery, which makes her a champion, and for her ability to find satisfaction in artistic expression, a superpower that no one can take away and which gives you true freedom. The magic of creativity is that you can walk in your dreams, and Anna is a clear and successful example of this.
