Chelsea Flower Show in London: an unmissable event for all floral designers!
Dear Flowers, the time has come to tell you about my latest adventure!
As you know, I was in London on the same dates as the Chelsea Flower Show, so as you may have seen from my social media, the city of London was awash with flowers!
A masterpiece! Every corner of the city was filled with impressive flower arrangements, this edition dedicated to celebrating the Queen's jubilee and...her dog too!
LONDON IN BLOOM:
For those who have never been, I highly recommend visiting London in spring to be enchanted by the magic of this city ablaze with flowers. As you stroll the streets, you can immerse yourself in London's color and creativity!
The Chelsea Flower Show is held annually in May at the Royal Chelsea Hospital, here here Visit the official website for more information! Stay tuned!
A fantastic experience to do at least once in your life!
Seeing all these huge, imposing installations created with flowers and greenery, largely as a sign of sustainability.
This edition was dedicated specifically to climate change, in fact, it aims to raise awareness in the community on certain issues, namely: climate change and global warming, as well as having the objective of obtaining environmental and social benefits.
THIS YEAR'S THEME?
The 2022 theme is "British Icons" and draws inspiration from the characters, symbols, and emblems of the United Kingdom and Great Britain. We're bringing together to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, which will take place the following week at the Chelsea Flower Show.
“British Icons” at London in Bloom also promises exciting floral installations, encapsulating the UK’s exceptional talent and character across fashion, art, design, music, food, sport, literature and more.
NOT JUST FLOWERS…
But my dearest Flowers, it wasn't just florists who took part in this event but also bars and restaurants who created ad hoc floral menus!
Beautiful plates decorated with wonderful flowers…all for you to enjoy!
AND MILAN IN BLOOM?
After having seen so much beauty… and after having been able to taste it too, I wonder why there isn't an event like this in Italy too, of course we have the Fuori Vegetables but it's not the same thing.
The Fuori Orticola inspired by London in Bloom is still in its infancy and must be encouraged and supported. I appeal to all of us Floral Designers and to all aspiring ones!
Decorating the entire city in this way would only further enhance the beauty of Milan itself.
Colors that illuminate and enhance the beauty of every corner of Milan, which in themselves tell a part of its wonderful and unique history.
Let's share a more flowery Milan!
To share our love of flowers with all Milanese citizens and raise awareness of sustainability.
This is what I would like to happen in my hometown and it is not a waste of money at all!
To learn how to do these great things you have to start from the basics and follow very specific paths and I have created them in my school, you can find them here!
What if I told you I'd love to run a new course on creating installations as large as the ones at the Chelsea Flower Show? Would you be interested?
