Topics covered
This practical course introduces you to the world of floral design, starting from the basics. It covers fundamentals of the industry, composition techniques, and the skills needed to start a floral business, as well as studying the materials and tools involved.
Practical exercises are planned between lessons, which will be corrected with specific instructions on how to improve and progress.
We then move on to creating compositions of medium complexity, to begin to understand compositional elements, proportions, positioning of each element and the first rules on the use of colour and the choice of materials.
Subsequently, the techniques for creating semicircular and diagonal compositions are explored in depth, which are essential for understanding the construction of stylistic lines and the identification of the focal point.
The course continues with the study of techniques useful for giving movement and momentum to compositions, without directly intervening on the natural shape of the flower.
In addition to the Classical Style, the Modern Style, the Botanical Style and the Natural Style are addressed, with a specific focus on techniques and research into materials.
