New year, new courses!
2017 started off really great with “Wedding Flowers”, dedicated to thefloral arrangement and not, both of the Church that of the Receipt of a wedding.
To participate, on January 12th and 13th in that of Lombard FlorThere were many girls, all passionate and extremely willing. For these reasons, as well as the natural affection I feel as a teacher for each of my students, I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. Let's keep in touch!
Thursday, January 12, “Wedding Flowers – Church”
On a morning that smelled of snow, we started as always with a beautiful theoretical explanationTheoretical yes, but “silviadeifiori style” where the theory is still very, very practical.
First of all on how to think about spaces (large or small) and how to manage them in the best way, obviously with some of my own practical advice to avoid running into the same problems that scare us so much Wedding professionals.
And then, after having designed the together decorations for a church Small to medium-sized (always keeping in mind the hypothetical budgets and needs of our clients) and having thoroughly researched the major and most popular stylistic trends, we got to work! Finally, I say!
So, between ferns – lisianthus – myrtle – thuja And mixed greens, The Botanical drawing With a pinch of Natural that we'd just worked out on the board, it began to take shape. That is, one of the most exciting moments for me in this type of course.
Cords, classic compositions for the table and for the balustrades, for the benches, supports intended for floating candlesDivided into small groups, my girls challenged themselves. They helped each other, learned a lot, and so did I. What a satisfaction to see them improve and become more confident!
After lunch, with our bags and bags on our shoulders, we moved all the decorations into our location, while simultaneously discussing logistics, further furnishing accessories and strategies for a winning setup. Brr, it's so cold though!
Finally, there, before that enchanting church decked out for the holidays, we took a few moments together to contemplate the fruits of our labors. To reflect on the progress we've made. To look to the future.
Friday, January 13, “Wedding Flowers – Reception”
Fresh from Thursday's experiences and happy that the weekend was upon us, a curious class with whom I had established a sincere empathy gathered in Lombard Flor, this time to focus on theideation and execution of a set up for the Receipt.
It's priceless to see you girls forming friendships that last even after class ends! You always give me a wonderful gift.
Following a warm welcome and my presentation of the daily schedule – a thousand things in a few hours, as usual – we decided to develop four stylistic inputs for the Reception, or rather four different proposals for the same event: one classic mixed with modern; one romantic; one botanical with a country meaning; one botanical with a modern jungle twistIn short, all the best trends of this year just begun.
The technical demonstrations For each of them? There certainly wasn't a shortage! Not even the creation of individual dedicated corners!
Thus, the students of this edition of “Wedding Flowers: Special Reception"They completed all four projects in a few hours. And they were brilliant!
What did we do? Processing of foliage, bottling, colored water, green runner, imperial tables with candelabras and so on and so forth.
What can I say? I look forward to seeing you with a new edition of the “Wedding Flowers – Church” and “Wedding Flowers – Reception” courses in March. Here, instead, all the upcoming appointments with the Wedding and Flower School!
Don't miss them!
