A while ago I posted on Facebook a video, in which I asked you what your requests were to make some ad hoc tutorial.
All things considered, the most successful was the laurel wreath for graduation. So here I am, ready to please you and to recover all the material we may need!
THE'necessary It's very easy to find: laurel sprigs, aluminum wire, subtle iron wire green, satin ribbon red (or the color of the new doctor's gown, or the cover of his thesis), shears, scissors And gutta-percha.
Let's start by creating the support for the crown using the aluminum wire, which must be carefully cut to the diameter of your head or a little smaller (because we will then tie some ribbons to it that will act as “play”).
We shape the wire into a circular shape and finish it off at both ends by bending it into two loops.
With the gutta-percha I cover my base getting a green support, I cut the red satin ribbon and I'll pass it through these two buttonholes. We'll secure the ribbon with a little knot.
That's it, the base is ready! Now all that's left to do is add the laurel sprigs overlapping them to hide the circle of the crownThe twigs should be secured with a thin wire, so that they are firmly attached to the whole.
The procedure for applying crown laurel It's as follows: starting from the first loop, place a twig about 10 cm long on the top of the aluminum wire, a second twig directly underneath, and the third on the outside. Secure the resulting bunch with wire. Then, proceed in the same way with three more twigs, making sure the tips perfectly cover the ends of the first ones. Continue in this way until the entire base is covered. Be careful, though: the wire must not be visible! And finally, we close the laurel wreath with a beautiful red bow, a color that symbolizes good luck for the new life that awaits you!
Before wishing you a happy and fun graduation party, I'll show you how by supporting our laurel wreath do it yourself A thousand other decorative ideas could come to mind on a Medici vase. What do you think?
Then good graduation party to all, Doctors!
